Eastern Center Jona, Rapperswil-Jona CH, 2023

The “we-place” concept is based on the unique location of the center on the Jona, the strengthening of existing and the establishment of new, identity-creating elements that result from the existing buildings and exploit the existing structural and open space potential. The area will be improved for pedestrians from Neuhofplatz in the north via Stadttorplatz and St. Gallerstrasse to the southern end of the Jona Promenade and transformed into an attractive shopping and leisure area as well as supplemented by a modern school area and contemporary housing. The upgraded open spaces and networking elements weave the locations into a whole.
